Described as “passionate” and “dedicated” by her colleagues, clarinetist and composer Vanessa Lopez strives to impact the musical world through her immensely unique, yet informed musical interpretations and her lyrical, distinct compositions. Primarily focused on ensemble playing, Vanessa has performed in various ensembles, including the University of the Pacific's University Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, California Youth Symphony, and multiple chamber groups of different instrumentations. Currently, Vanessa studies clarinet at the University of the Pacific as a clarinet performance major under Dr. Patricia Shands. She will obtain her undergraduate degree in the spring of 2025.
